Who doesn't love a delicious warm creamy cup of sweet chocolatey hot cocoa?
It's so interesting nowadays as a request for a simple cup of hot cocoa is just not the same as in the past. The basic hot cocoa recipe alone is so vast! Would you like a cup of Mexican Hot Chocolate with a shake of cinnamon? Or would you rather focus on the toppings and have a dollop of whipped cream (plant based of course, lol!), or is that a hot cocoa with marshmallows you'd prefer?
Without a doubt, this warm nostalgic sip is essential for this time of the holiday season- but did you even know there are actual hot cocoa 'bars' serving solely this magic melted chocolate Goodness & Mercy in a mug?
Then there are the new hot cocoa bombs! What fun! I've actually located these fascinating hot cocoa bombs near me at my local Sam's Warehouse. So that helps with where to buy hot cocoa bombs- actually thinking about picking some up for a bit of holiday family fun this Christmas Eve. Now, of course I spotted a pretty cool hot chocolate bombs recipe on Pinterest - hopefully not too complex, so there's that for my crafty ones! I even found a few hot cocoa bar ideas as well.
Around this time of year my son seems to turn on the kettle to have a cup of hot chocolate seemingly every morning before school. He likes to think of it as his 'coffee', lol! And before anyone comments on how that may be too much sugar, be sure to sip around your own coffee mugs that hold a little coffee with your sweetened creamer (smile).
I am still trying to wrap my head around the concept and need of an actual hot cocoa maker. I mean, as I mentioned above, my son is a whiz at adding that boiling water and mixing the contents and he's done! I guess it seems to me that it may take more time setting up the maker and by time the hot cocoa maker has 'made' your hot cocoa, I could be pouring my second cup of boiling water into my hot cocoa mix ladened mug. But I'm not knocking it!
Interestingly enough, I have prepared hot cocoa in a crockpot, and it is indeed all it's cracked up to be. Especially when you have a crowd, it ladles beautifully and timely!
With all this said, I can honestly agree that a hot cocoa gift set accompanied with matching hot cocoa mugs would absolutely be a welcomed gift under our tree. However, if you're in the market for THE BEST hot cocoa recipe, look no more than to AC Art Of Food™, we've got you covered....deliciously!
Cheers!
